“Higgins” Success Story

He came to our shelter scared of so many things with buckshot wounds on his legs. We named him Higgins and although he was incredibly sweet, the fear in his eyes told of the life he’d been subjected to. Our volunteers would hug him after taking him for a walk to reassure him that there were good people in the world, people that cared for him and were determined to find him the perfect furrever home.

One day that dream came true and Higgins was adopted by a lovely, caring family. One of our volunteers met Higgins recently. Although he’s still scared of many things, he plays with other dogs and runs around like a very happy pup! It is thanks to our volunteers, our supporters and our donors that Higgins and many others, have a happy tale to tell.
