Meet Athena, the gorgeous 2 year old female Chihuahua/Dachshund mix seeking her forever home with someone who will treat her like a princess! Athena here is a petite pooch, weighing in at 11.6 pounds. She is very loving and is known to capture the hearts of everyone who crosses her path. Not only is she affectionate but she also is full of adorable spunk! She enjoys exploring the environment outside and going for nice walks with her humans. Are you looking for a playful pup that will also snuggle you when it's time to relax? Athena here fits the bill perfectly! She is energetic but knows when to switch into her Zen side, which to most people is an admirable quality. Athena loves other dogs, so if you have any canine friends at home, she would be ecstatic! She also does well around children and would make an amazing little family dog. Athena has not yet been exposed to cats, however her welcoming personality is sure to shine.

In terms of potty training, Athena is currently in a shelter environment where it's hard for staff to guarantee that she is fully house trained. We tell everyone to treat your new shelter pup like a puppy when you bring them home to ensure that they learn your routine when it comes to a potty schedule.
