Fuji

Meet Fuji, the sweet-natured 9-month-old male Great Pyrenees seeking his forever home. This 43-pound polar bear is a gentle giant with a heart as big as his fluffy paws! Though he's shy at first and isn't much of a confident pup, it only takes a soft voice and a kind hand to bring out his warm, wagging personality. Fuji is currently available as Foster to Adopt until we can fully take care of his medical needs. He has a luxating patella in his back knee and may need surgery depending on what the vet says after his Ortho consult. You MUST reside in Manatee/Sarasota County to put in an application for Fuji at this time. Fuji is a more laid-back pooch and is at his happiest lying in the shade outside or exploring around the yard. He is a huge gentleman and strives to always be on his best behavior! Overall, Fuji is the perfect companion who's all about love, loyalty, and good vibes. His unconditional love will prove to you just how much he craves a warm-hearted family who will cherish him forever. Fuji has not yet been formally introduced to dogs, cats, or children.

In terms of potty training, Fuji is currently in a shelter environment where it's hard for staff to guarantee that he is fully house-trained. We tell everyone to treat your new shelter pup like a puppy when you bring them home to ensure that they learn your routine when it comes to a potty schedule.
